B&Q believe that people are at the foundation of their success, so every year they host over 500 key leaders at a conference to communicate key strategies for the year ahead and an evening celebration to recognise performance. This year, the Internal Comms team worked closely with Firehouse to deliver the event at Celtic Manor in Newport.
Creating an immersive stage design including an in the round day time layout, both teams collaborated to create a seamless delegate experience, including full venue branding, logistics and production support. With Firehouse supporting the content development and rehearsal process, key messages were delivered with confidence resulting in over 95% of attendees confirming that the 2020 conference was the best to date.
After all 550 guests departed for their hotel rooms to get dressed to impress, the evening celebrations commenced. A gala dinner and award ceremony later, and the guests were treated to an exciting festival experience, with silent disco, interactive games, bands and DJs – ensuring everyone was entertained until the early hours. Both the IC Team and Firehouse were delighted to produce and deliver B&Q’s most engaging Leadership conference to date.
